We were talking to some indigenous locals this week as they were launching their canoes into the water in preparation to take a group of school kids on a trip around Indian Arm.  They had the kids in a circle and were performing a ceremony with drums and changing before getting close to nature.  They were saying that its the best way to connect with the environment around you and get a perspective of the area.  Shelly and I have marked it down as a must do in Spring next year.  (they are almost finished for the season)
